Esk Butter Factory was founded in 1904. The Dairy Co-Operative commenced operation in 1906. After burning down in 1926, the new factory re-opened 30th September 1927, operating until 30th April 1973. It was a mainstay of the Brisbane Valley dairy industry employing 20 staff. In 1956, butter from the factory wore the "Glenrock" brand.
