HistoryThe Lutheran Cemetery at Mt. Beppo recorded its first burial in 1898 of infant E.F. Dumke. He is buried along with seven other children in a separate section of the cemetery with intact lambs on some of the headstones. The headstones of many of the older residents were inscribed in German until 141, after which it was prohibited to speak German. The original Lutheran church stood beside this cemetery, but was sold for removal after the new Lutheran Church, now opposite the Police Station, was dedicated. Wilhelmine F.E. Bulow was buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in November 1902, aged 25. Records of who, when and the ages of those who were buried at the Toogoolawah Apostolic & Lutheran cemeteries are listed in the factsheet.
