Dams & Waterways
DESCRIPTION
Description
Dams and waterways are synonymous with the Somerset region. From providing water needed for farming, livestock and crops to recreational activities such as fishing, water skiing and swimming. Plans to dam along the river system to assist in flood mitigation and provide a continual water source resulted in the building of the Somerset and Wivenhoe dams.
