Other NamesMajor Flewell-SmithBiographyThe Flewell-Smiths owned farms in the Vernor area. Major Flewell-Smith participated in the Boer War and WWI. In the 1893 floods, he experienced heavy losses. During the 1893 floods, Major Flewell-Smith and his brothers Malcolm and William rescued the Noonan family. He and Mr W. Russell also rescued the Vernor family.
