BiographyPatrick Joseph McCauley was born on 7 April 1877, at Candelo in the Bega district of New South Wales. Patrick was elected for the first and second Shire Council terms, serving as Kilcoy chairman from 1914 to 1915. He also served for a considerable period of time as the director of the Stanley River Cooperative Butter Company, of which he was a founding member.
